About Me

About MeHi and thank you for looking in on me!

My favourite read is an intriguing family story with great characters and a touch of romance and that’s what I write. Some of my novels are set in the past and some are contemporary.

I am a member of the Romatic Novelists’ Association and I was presented with their Elizabeth Goudge Writing trophy in July 2016.

My latest novel, out Spring 2024, is THE GIVEAWAY GIRL A family saga set in the 1960s

The Barn of Buried Dreams
When I’m not writing about families and their relationships, I read a wide range of fiction. I review for net galley and add the ones I’ve enjoyed most on this website.
Professional ReaderReviews PublishedI live in the North East, on a beautiful stretch of Northumbrian coastline not far from the city of Newcastle, with my husband  and a Welsh terror of a terrier. The setting is used in my stories and a feisty little terrier has a cameo role in my second novel . My husband does not feature in my writing at all!
Nowadays, I’m lucky enough to spend part of each day writing and, at the moment, that is with the fascinating characters of my latest novel
